Legacy Springfield Wedding Fayre

Brides-to-be will be able to make all the arrangements for their big day under one roof at a wedding fayre at a Gateshead hotel.

The evening event at The Legacy Springfield Hotel on Wednesday, January 30, will host more than 30 local exhibitors covering all the essential wedding day services.

There will also be a chance to see the latest bridal trends in a fashion show staged by Gateshead outfitters Something Special.

A wedding gift company, photographers, make-up artists and a chocolate fountain supplier will be among those giving help and advice from 6.30pm until 9pm.

Geordie crooner Paul Martin, known for his Rat Pack tribute, will also be performing before and after the wedding dress show.

Paul is an acclaimed wedding singer and a song he wrote for Kevin Keegan’s return to Newcastle recently put him in the public eye.

General manager of The Legacy Springfield Hotel Keith Whittaker said: “This event is very timely as we have just been granted a licence to host civil ceremonies.

“It will be a great opportunity for visitors to check out the facilities at the hotel and all the other services they might need on their big day.

“As it’s on a Wednesday night visitors can just pop in after work. We have plenty of free parking and the bar will be open for anyone needing refreshment.”

It will be the first time specialist firm Perfect Wedding Fayre has organised an event at the hotel.

Louisa Coates from the company said: “It’s been a very busy period working with many local suppliers and it promises to be a packed event.

“We hope to give visitors a good idea of the range of services available on their door-step and I’m sure the chocolate fountain will prove very popular!

“It’s very exciting to be staging our first event of the year in Gateshead which will be the first of many across the North East this year.”

The Legacy Springfield Hotel has 61 bedrooms and a variety of suites ideal for an intimate ceremony or large wedding reception.
